The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of DE-Kent Walker (Kent State University) for the 2023 season. Kent begins his second season with the Express and is one of our starters in the defensive rotation.

Last season the Express won the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship, won our Division for the fourth year in a row and qualified for the GDFL National Playoffs for the seventh season in a row. In January we will be heading to Florida to face the Minneapolis Warriors in the USA Bowl Spring Division National Championship Bowl Game. The above mentioned team accolades would not have been possible without Kent's help.

Kent earned 1st Team All Conference honors his Junior and Senior seasons as a linebacker and 2nd team honors as a tight end. Kent holds the single season sack record with 12. Upon graduation Kent spent a season at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia before finishing his college career at Kent State University.

"Kent did an amazing job for us last season. In his first game in Florida he recorded his first sack of the season and set the tone for an amazing year. We love what he brings to the team and his relentless pursuit for excellence. Kent is a team first player and has proven himself on and off the field. He brings a winners mindset to every practice and game and we are blessed to have him back on board with us and are expecting another great season from him in 2023"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
