LB-DeAngelo Levert returns for 2023

The Erie Express are happy to announce the return of LB-DeAngelo Levert (Mentor, HS) for the 2023 season. Levert begins his third season with the Express. DeAngelo returns as one of our starters on special teams and is in the starting defensive rotation.

This past season season we were crowned USA Bowl Summer Division National Champions, won our Division in the GDFL for the fourth year in a row and qualified for the GDFL National Playoffs for the seventh year in a row. In January of 2023 we headed to Daytona Beach, FL to face the Minneapolis Warriors in the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship Game. (17-20 loss) The above mentioned team accolades, DeAngelo had a direct hand in making possible.

DeAngelo also played a major role in our winning the 2021 GDFL National Championship as well as the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship to kick off the 2022 season.

Levert is a graduate of Mentor, HS in Mentor, OH. While there he was a 4 year member of the football team earning three varsity letters and twice being named All-Region. DeAngelo was named team captain and twice helped lead his team to the OHSAA Playoffs.
