by Erie Express Media

The Erie Express are happy to announce the return of All-Pro WR-Koran Williams (West Virginia University) for the 2023 season. Koran begins his fourth season with the Express and returns as one of our starting wide receivers.

Koran missed most of last season with an injury he sustained in our opening pre season game. He came back strong and helped us secure our fourth consecutive division title and qualify for the GDFL National Playoffs. In January we will be heading to Daytona Beach, FL to face off against the Minneapolis Warriors in the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship Bowl Game. The above mentioned team accolade3s were made possible in part due to Koran's amazing efforts.

Koran had an amazing 2021 season and played a major role in our winning the 2021 GDFL National Championship as well as the 2022 USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship. Koran recorded 952 yards of total offense. 13 returns for 300 yards,1 carry for 35yds rushing, 38 receptions for 617 receiving yards, 8 TDs and a 2pt conversion. Koran led the GDFL in receiving yards and TD's during the regular season and finished 1st in receiving yards and yards per game during the playoffs. For his efforts during the 2021 season Koran was named GDFL All-Pro. Koran also secured Erie Express awards for Most Improved Offense and Wide Receiver of the Year.

"Koran is an absolute playmaker. He has a great team first mentality and never hesitates to play wherever he is needed in order to give the team our best chance for success. Last season he was injured early and that had a major impact on us as he is not a player that can easily be replaced. He fought back from his injury and had a major impact on our success's last season. We are blessed to have him back on board with us and we are expecting another amazing season from him in 2023"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.

Koran has played professionally indoors for the Witchita Force.
