ATH-Noah Wagers returns for 2023 season

by Erie Express Media

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of ATH-Noah Wagers (McDowell, HS) for the 2023 season. Noah begins his second season with the Express and returns as one of our starters on special teams.

In 2022 the Erie Express were named USA Bowl Summer Division National Champions, won our Division of the GDFL for the fourth year in a row and qualified for the GDFL National Playoffs for the seventh season in a row. We will be heading to Florida again in January to face off against another defending champion in the Minneapolis Warriors. Noah played a major role in those team accolades.

Noah is a graduate of McDowell, High School where he earned three varsity letters while playing for the Trojans. Wagers attended our open combine in 2022 and impressed the coaches with his quickness and overall athletic ability. He was signed shortly after that. Noah is currently enrolled at Edinboro University and is a Phys Ed major. He also coaches the McDowell Freshman football team.

"Noah did a great job for us last season. He proved to be a guy we could count on to make plays and put the team first at all times. We love his energy and what he brings to the team.

We are blessed to have him back this season and are expecting great things from him in 2023"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.

Noah is sponsored by Ripley Machine and Tool Inc.
