DL-Robert Spence signs for 2023

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of DL-Robert Spence (Farrell, HS) for the 2023 season. Robert will compete for a spot in the defensive line rotation and on special teams.

Robert attended our open tryout and workouts. He impressed the coaches with his size and quickness and ability to accept coaching. He has a high motor and great first step that caught the coaches eyes right away.

Robert is a graduate of Farrell, HS where he was a 4x D10 Champion as well as State Champion. After high school, Robert played 2 seasons for Steel City Prep before taking his talents to the Steel Valley Truth last season.

"Robert has been working very hard in camp and has looked very good. You can never have enough quality big guys and we feel Robert is going to be a nice change up for us in the rotation. He has a great team first focus, is a proven winner and knows what needs to be done to bring home the hardware. We are blessed to have him on board with us and are looking forward to a great season from him in 2023"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
