2x All-American DL-Khallid Pierce El signs for 2023

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of 2x All-American DL-Khallid Pierce El (Bethany College) for the 2023 season. Khallid begins his first season with the Express and will compete for a spot in the defensive line rotation.

Although Pierce begins his first season with the Express he is anything but a rookie to the game. Pierce has played the past five seasons professionally with the PFL Champion Akron Canton Pitbulls and the WPA Wildcatz. Khallid helped to lead the Pitbulls to their championship game last year and a spot in the Sunshine Bowl National Championship Bowl game in Miami, FL.

Khallid is a graduate of Ursuline High School where he and his teammates claimed the 2009 and 2010 OHSAA State Championship. For his efforts he earned a total of wwo All Ohio First Team Honors on both Offense and Defense(12’,13’). Pierce was also the Mahoning Valley 5 Blocks of Granted Winner (2013’) Khallid finished his high school career in the top 5 in Ursuline Football Program History in Sacks and holds the record for most sacks in a game with 5.

Pierce is a graduate of Bethany College in West Virginia with an BS in Communication and Media Arts (2018). He holds the record for most sacks in a game in school history with (5 sacks) and is number two in school history of all time career sacks. 

D-III All Conference(13-18), All Region(18), All American(14,18) Honors.
