Upon graduation May attended Mercyhurst North East where he was a member of the mens basketball team. Diontez was named All American 2x and is the schools all time leader in points.

"Diontez did a great job for us when he last played in Erie. He has been a great supporter of Express football even after having left, aside from when we played of course. Lefty helped lead the Silverbacks to a championship and that is what he is in Erie to help us do again. We are very pleased and blessed to have him back and are expecting a great season from him in 2023"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
