PAFL TACKLE LEADER: JAMARELL LOMAX RETURNS FOR 2026

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of 5x All-Pro ATH-Jamarell Lomax (Denby, HS-MI) for the 2026 season. Lomax begins his second season with the Express and returns as one of our starters in the defensive rotation.

Jamarell was named PAFL All-Pro for the 2025 season. This is the fifth time Jamarell has earned All-Pro status in his career. Lomax was nominated to, and played in, the PAFL All-Star game at Kent State University.

In addition to All-Pro, Lomax was also named the Erie Express Defensive Newcomer of the Year. This award goes to the most outstanding veteran player who has completed their first year with the Express. The award is voted on by teammates and coaches.

Last season Jamarell proved himself to be one of the premier players in the nation. He led the PAFL in tackles during the regular season with 56. For the season Lomax finished with 72 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 1 forced fumble, 1 touchdown and 5 pass breakups.

Jamarell has won multiple championships at the professional level. and is a 3x National Champion and a 5x All-Pro selection. He was named the defensive player of the game in the 2019 National Championship game played at AT&T Stadium.
