LB-Malik Watson back for 2023

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of Malik Watson (Glen Oak, HS) for the 2023 season. Malik begins his second season with the Express and will compete for a spot in the linebacker rotation and on special teams.

This past season season we were crowned USA Bowl Summer Division National Champions, won our Division in the GDFL for the fourth year in a row and qualified for the GDFL National Playoffs for the seventh year in a row. In January of 2023 we headed to Daytona Beach, FL to face the Minneapolis Warriors in the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship Game. (17-20 loss) The above mentioned team accolades, Malik had a direct hand in making possible.

Malik is a graduate of Glen Oak High School where he was a standout linebacker.

"Malik did a nice job for us last season. Hopefully this year we will be able to see more of him. He has a great skill set that we fill can benefit us in our rotation and make achieving team goals that much easier. We are blessed to have him back with us this season and are expecting a great year from Malik in 2023"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
