Former Northwestern standout Cole Bish, boards the PAINTRAIN for 2026!

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the addition of OL/DL Cole Bish (Northwestern, HS) for the 2026 season. Cole begins his first season with the Express and will look to earn a spot in the rotations on the offensive and defensive lines.

Bish is a graduate of Northwestern High School where he was a standout player on the field for the Wildcats. Starting both ways for the Wildcats, Bish finished his career as a 4 year letter winner, 2x 1st Team All-Region, All-District as a Senior and Team Captain. Cole was selected to play in both the Save an Eye All-Star Game as well as the North/South All-Star Game.

Cole attended our open tryout and impressed the coaches with his quickness and footwork. He has looked good so far in our workouts and is expected to make an impact this year on both sides of the ball.

"We had some serious issues last season with player commitment. We are trying to revamp our roster with players that are committed and who can make the plays we need to have made. Cole seems to fit that need quite well. He is an experienced big guy who has the athletic ability to play multiple positions at a high level. We are blessed to have him on board with us this year and are expecting great things from him in 2026"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
