Express sign S/LB-Bruce Stagg II for 2020 season

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of S/LB-Bruce Stagg II (Central Tech) for the 2020 season. Bruce begins his first season with the Express and will look to compete for a spot on the defensive rotation and special teams.

Bruce is a graduate of Erie's Central Tech High School. While at Central, Bruce was a four year member and letterman for the Falcons. He finished ranked in the top 5 of multiple statistical categories his senior year.

Bruce attended our open combine and impressed the coaches with his size, quickness and power. "Bruce has a great head on his shoulders. You can tell by talking with him that he is very intelligent. He posses great size and strength. He has faced a life threatening challenge having been diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma in 2007. He defeated that so we know what kind of fight he has in him. We feel he will be a great addition to our defensive unit and are expecting a great season from him in 2020"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
