Express sign LB-Dan Dario to 2023 roster

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of LB-Dan Dario (Fairmont State University) for the 2023 season. Dan begins his first season with the Express and will look to earn a spot in the starting linebacker rotation.

Dan was a highly sought after recruit out of Archbishop Hoban in Akron, Ohio. Dan was a two-time all-city and all-county player, was a two-time conference defensive player of the year, first team all-state and district defensive player of the year as a senior. Dan led the Knights to the Northcoast League title and finished his senior season with 98 tackles (60 solo), 6 tackles for a loss, five sacks, six forced fumbles and blocked three kicks. Dan was selected to play in the North-South game.

Dan played his college ball at Fairmont State University where he was a four year starter and letter winner for the Falcons. Dan finished his college career with 198 tackles (121 solo) 51 tackles for loss, 7 sacks a forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and an interception.

Dan has played professionally for the Northeast Ohio Silverbacks and the Akron Canton Pitbulls. Dan led both teams to league championships as well as National Championship Bowl Game appearances in Florida (USA Bowl & Sunshine Bowl).

Dan was signed last week and saw his first action against the Ohio Gladiators.
