Express Re-Sign All-Pro OL-Devonne Barnes for 2021 Season

The Erie Express are happy to announce the return of All-Pro OL-Devonne Barnes

The Erie Express are happy to announce the return of All-Pro OL-Devonne Barnes (Indiana University of PA) for the 2021 season. Devonne begins his second season with the Express and is a returning starter on the offensive line.

In his first season as a member of the Express, Barnes helped pave the way for All-Pro RB-Shannon Jackson (2nd in league rushing) and QB-Brandon Hanna (3rd in league rushing, league leader in rushing TDs and GDFL Player of the Year). Our offense was one of the most productive in the GDFL last season and it was in large part due to the protection provided from Devonne. We made it to the Xtreme Conference Finals for the second year in a row and Devonne was a huge reason for our teams success. For his efforts Barnes was named GDFL All-Pro in his rookie season.

Barnes graduated from Cathedral Prep High School in Erie, PA. While there Barnes was a three year letter winner, twice named All-Region and earned All-State honors his Senior year. The Ramblers won the 2013 State Championship in part to Devonne's performance as an offensive lineman. Barnes followed up a stellar high school career by playing his college ball at Indiana University of PA. While there the Crimson Hawks qualified for the national playoffs making it all the way to the final four.
