Express announce addition of OL/DL Bishop Simmons (Edinboro University)

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the addition of OL/DL Bishop Simmons (Edinboro University) for the 2022 season. Bishop begins his first season with us and will will look to earn a spot on the offensive or defensive line rotation.
Simmons is a graduate of Aquinas Institute, NY.  There he was a two-year starter … was a second team All-New York selection on defense and earned first team All-Greater Rochester accolades … helped the Little Irish finish with a perfect 13-0 record as a senior in 2015, defeating Sarasota Springs, 44-19, in the New York Class AA state championship game … had 37 tackles, with 9.5 for losses and 1.5 sacks.
Simmons started his college career at Mercyhurst University where he started at OT as a true freshman. Bishop transferred to Edinboro University where he finished his college career as a starting defensive lineman.
"Bishop has tremendous athletic ability and play both sides of the ball and play them well. We are not sure yet where he will end up playing for us but the odds are pretty good he will be seeing reps on both sides of the ball. Bishop has goals and we want to help him achieve those goals. His ability coupled with his team first mentality  will certainly help in making those goals a reality.
