EXPRESS ADD VETERAN PLAY CALLER JJ PINKINS-WILSON TO THE 2025 STAFF
The Erie Express are pleased to announce the addition of Coach JJ Pinkins-Wilson to our staff for the 2025 season. Coach Pinkins-Wilson begins his first season with the Express and will act as our Assistant Offensive Coordinator and Pass Game Coordinator.
Although Coach JJ may be new to the Express, he is by far no rookie to this level of football. He has played professionally for the Penn Ohio Raiders, New Castle Thunder, Warren Disciples and WPA Wildcatz.
Coach Pinkins-Wilson is a graduate of Farrell High School where he was a standout on the football field for the Steelers. Coach was a 2x All State QB/DB, 2x 1st Team All-Conference selection as well. After high school Coach accepted a scholarship to play defensive back for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.
Last season Coach took over the play calling duties for the WPA Wildcatz and did an amazing job. Several of his offensive players earned TPFL All-Pro status for their efforts during the season. Coach helped to guide the Wildcatz to a final four appearance in the 2024 TPFL Playoffs.
"When I heard the Wildcatz would not be returning for 2025 I reached out to team owner John Reay and asked him for the names of several coaches and players who can perform at the highest level under pressure. I have nothing but respect for John and his entire organization so if he says Coach JJ is a guy we need on our staff, I was more than happy to add him. Coach Pinkins-Wilsons background as both a player and coach at this level make him a perfect addition to our staff. He is passionate about the game, wants to see his players succeed and has a track record as a proven winner. We are blessed to have him on board with us in 2025"- Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
Welcome aboard the PAINTRAIN Coach Pinkins-Wilson!
