EXPRESS ADD VETERAN CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING KICKER IN ERIC ROCKWOOD

The Erie Express are happy to announce the return of K/P-Eric Rockwood (Alfred University) for the 2026 season. Eric begins his sixth season with the Express and returns as one of our starting kickers. Eric has played a major role in our teams success over the past five seasons.

Last season Eric played a role in our PAFL Playoff game appearance. 2x last season Eric was named Erie Sports enter Special Teams Player of the Week. In addition he kicked the game winning extra point against the Glass City Tigers in week 1 of the PAFL season.

In 2024, Eric did an amazing job for us and played a major role in our TPFL Championship game appearance last season. We finished the season 11-2 and received an invite to the I-75 Pro Advancement Bowl as well as the USA National Championship game.

Since joining the Express the team has 3 division titles, a regional title, GDFL Xtreme Conference Championship, GDFL National Championship, USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship and 3 National Bowl Game appearances and made the playoffs 4 times..



Eric graduated from Allegany Limestone High School where he played football, baseball, soccer and basketball. Rockwood finished his high school career with 12 varsity letters and was selected to the Big 30 All-Star Game. Eric was a two sport athlete in college playing football and soccer for Alfred University. While there Eric was named All Empire 8 3x and Special Teams Player of the Year 3x as well.

Rockwood set records in college for most field goals in a game, most consecutive extra points, most extra points in a season, most extra points in a career, most points kicking in a season and most points kicking in a career and earned his bachelors and MBA in accounting from Alfred University.

Eric has played professionally indoors for the Buffalo Lightning.

We are blessed to have him back on board with us and are expecting this to be a breakout season for him. He is one of the few remaining players that are on the roster to have won a championship with us.
