EXPRESS ADD POWER AND SIZE TO THE DEFENSIVE LINE WITH ANDREW SCHELOSKE

The Erie Express are happy to announce the return of DL-Andrew Scheloske (McDowell, HS) for the 2026 season. Andrew begins his second season with the Express and will compete for a starting spot on the defensive line rotation.

Andrew last played for us during our 2021 GDFL National Championship Season. He has been in the weight room getting his body healthy again and is ready to help lead us to another championship in 2026.

Andrew's 2021 season was cut short but he is back now and ready to once again be a force on the field.

Andrew is a graduate of McDowell, HS. While there he was a two year letter winner and starter for the Trojans. Drew was selected as a team captain and led the team in sacks and tackles for loss on his way to being named First Team All-Region.

Scheloske was selected to play in the annual Save an Eye All-Star Game. Andrew attended Cathedral Prep his first two years of high school and was also a two year letter winner there prior to finishing at McDowell.

"We are very happy to have Andrew back on board with us this season. Depth on the defensive line was a major issue for us last season so anytime you can add a player with his size, power and football IQ it is nothing but a blessing. He has looked very good so far during our OTA's so we know he is 100% healthy and ready to help lead us up front. We are excited to have him back and are looking forward to an amazing season from him in 2026"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
