Erie Express sign All-American RB-Jansen Jones (Gannon University) for the 2020 season

RB-Jansen Jones returns for 2020 season

The Erie Express are happy to announce the signing of All-American RB-Jansen Jones (Gannon University) for the 2020 season. Jones begins his second season with the Express and will compete for a starting spot at running back or wide receiver. 

Jansen last played with the Express in the 2018 season and helped lead us to the GDFL Xtreme Conference Finals in his rookie season. 

Jansen is a graduate of Gannon University where he remains one of the top 10 backs of all time. For his career he has 3,458 all purpose yards and 29tds. Jones senior year was a breakout year for him as he rushed for 1637 and 15tds and added another 229 yards receiving with a pair of TDs. For his efforts his senior year Jones was named D2 All-American as well as All PSAC and was selected to play in the DII All American Bowl. 

Jones played his high school ball at Penfield, NY. There he was a standout on the football and basketball courts earning multiple varsity letters. Jones was named to the All-Monroe County first team and was an All-Greater Rochester basketball candidate.
