Erie Express Heading to the TPFL Championship

Your Erie Express advance to the TPFL Tier 1 Championship Game on August 24th. We will be facing the #1 ranked Columbus Fire for the right to be called CHAMPIONS!

The Fire come into the game as the #1 seed and are 11-1 on the season and 10-0 in the TPFL. They have the #1 ranked defense in the league as well as the #2 ranked offense. The Fire defeated the #8 Artic Bengals 20-13 and the #4 WPA Wildcatz 20-0 to advance to the championship game.

The Express enter the game as the #2 seed and are 11-1 on the season and 9-1 in the TPFL. They have the #1 ranked offense and #3 ranked defense in the league. Erie defeated the defending TPFL Champion the #7 Ohio Gladiators 24-19 and the #3 Steel City Bobcats 7-0 to advance to the championship game.

The Fire were awarded an 11-19 victory over the Express in week eight when the game was called with 11:50 remaining in the fourth. This handed the Express their only blemish on the year. This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams with the Fire holding a 2-4 edge over the Express. The Fire wins have come 2024 (11-19), 2023 (12-9, 20-14) 2022 (29-26). Erie's two wins were 2021 (30-6) and 2022 (33-7).

The Championship game will be on August 24th at 7pm. Wright Fields at Veterans Park 3838 37th St Extension. Beaver Falls, PA 15010. We will play after the Tier 2 Championship Game concludes. Admission is $10 with children 10 and under FREE!
