Erie Express All-Pro Returns for 2025 Season
Travis was named Erie Express Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year. In addition to this team accolade, Travis was also named TPFL All-Pro for the 2024 season. This was Travis's first season with the Express and his first time earning All-Pro status!
Travis played primarily at center for us last year but also saw time at guard and defensive tackle.
Travis did an amazing job for us and played a major role in our TPFL Championship game appearance. We finished the season 11-2 and received an invite to the I-75 Pro Advancement Bowl.
We will also accept the invite in January to compete for a National Championship against the defending National Champion; Indy Bison in the USA Bowl in Daytona, FL. Travis played a major role in those team accolades!
Shaffer is a graduate of McDowell, HS where he was a standout athlete for the Trojans. Travis's senior season for McDowell he paved the way from the center position to a 250yd per game average on the ground and 39.5 pts per game. The Trojans were twice named D10 Champions during his career. Travis was selected First Team All-Region as a senior and played in 82nd Annual Save an Eye All-Star Game. Shaffer was also a standout wrestler for the Trojans.
Travis played his college ball at Edinboro University.
Travis has stayed active in the game as a youth coach serving as the Assistant Head Coach at Westlake Middle School in 2022 and the Offensive Line Coach for Iroquois High School last season.

He is as fun to be around as they come but on gameday he is one nasty guy in those trenches and that is exactly what you need the hogs to be.
