DB-Jovan McClatchey returns for 2022

The Erie Express are happy to announce the return of DB-Jovan McClatchey (Mercyhurst University) for the 2022 season. Jovan begins his second season with the Express and is one of our starters in the defensive secondary rotation and special teams. 

McClatchey attended our 2021 open combine and impressed the coaches with his size, speed and quickness. These attributes, along with his ability to accept coaching, played a major role in our finishing the 2021 season a perfect 11-0 and claiming the GDFL National Championship. 

Jovan is a graduate of Kenwood, HS in Clarksville, TN. While there McClatchey played a major role in their back to back State Runner Up finishes in football and 2 state playoff appearances in baseball. Jovan played baseball at the college level for Mercyhurst North East."

Jovan did an amazing job for us last season. He has a great team first attitude that is infectious. His ability to accept coaching and his desire to get better every week helped him have an an amazing season and only made us better. We know what we get when he is on the field and there is never a worry when he is out there.
