ATH-Nasir Singleton back for 2023

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of ATH-Nasir Singleton (Walsh University) for the 2023 season. Nasir begins his second season with the Express and looks to earn a spot in the offensive rotation at receiver and is a returning starter on special teams

This past season season we were crowned USA Bowl Summer Division National Champions, won our Division in the GDFL for the fourth year in a row and qualified for the GDFL National Playoffs for the seventh year in a row. In January of 2023 we headed to Daytona Beach, FL to face the Minneapolis Warriors in the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship Game. (17-20 loss) The above mentioned team accolades, Nasir had a direct hand in making possible.

Nasir may beginning his first season in an Express uniform but he is no stranger to the Express sidelines. Singleton is the Nephew of current Assistant Head Coach Mike McKinnon, a former All-Pro linebacker for us as well, Nasir has helped us on the sidelines for many years and has seen first hand what is expected from an Express player.

A standout at General McLane high school, Nasir earned 1st team All-Region accolades his senior year racking up over 1700 all purpose yards with 17 touchdowns. For his efforts he was selected to play in the annual Save an Eye All Star Game. Nasir played his college ball for Walsh University.

"Nas did a great job for us last year. He can play multiple positions and play them well. He has tremendous athletic ability and accepts coaching well. His drive is to help us win another championship and he has been looking very good in our pre season workouts. We are blessed to have him back on board with us ad are expecting a great season from him in 2023"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
