ALL PURPOSE ATHLETE-TYRESE TATE RETURNS FOR 2026 SEASON

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of ATH-Tyrese Tate (Gannon University) for the 2025 season. Ty begins his second season with the Express and will look to earn a spot in the starting rotation of all three phases of the game.

Ty last played for us in 2024 and played a major role in helping to get us to the TPFL Championship Game and a bid to play in Florida for a National Championship in the USA Bowl.

Ty's season was cut short but he is back now, healthy and stronger than ever and ready to help lead on and off the field.

Tate is a graduate of Mercyhurst Prep where he was a four year letter winner for the Lakers. Ty led he team in tackles as a freshman and later went on to earn All-Region. Tyrese was selected to play in the annual Save an Eye All-Star game as a senior. Tate played a season at Gannon University.

Ty attended our open combine in 2024 and impressed the coaches with his size and quickness. He was invited back for several workouts and eventually was awarded a contract for the season. He has took full advantage of the opportunity and showed himself to be a play maker.
