All-Pro Defensive End Khallid Pierce El returns for 2025 season
The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of 2x All-American DL-Khallid Pierce El (Bethany College) for the 2025 season. Khallid begins his second season with the Express and will compete for a spot in the defensive line rotation.
Khallid last played for us in 2023. A very tough season record wise especially when our average loss was 2.6ppg. Khallid remained pro at all times and brought his A game week in and week out. For the season Pierce recorded 34 tackles including 20 tackles for loss (-126 yards), 11 sacks, a caused fumble and a pass break up. Khallid was named GDFL All-Pro for the 2023 season.
Pierce El has played professionally with the PFL Champion Akron Canton Pitbulls and the WPA Wildcatz. Khallid helped to lead the Pitbulls to their championship game and a spot in the Sunshine Bowl National Championship Bowl game in Miami, FL.
Khallid is a graduate of Ursuline High School where he and his teammates claimed the 2009 and 2010 OHSAA State Championship. For his efforts he earned a total of wwo All Ohio First Team Honors on both Offense and Defense(12’,13’). Pierce El was also the Mahoning Valley 5 Blocks of Granted Winner (2013’) Khallid finished his high school career in the top 5 in Ursuline Football Program History in Sacks and holds the record for most sacks in a game with 5.

Pierce El is a graduate of Bethany College in West Virginia with an BS in Communication and Media Arts (2018). He holds the record for most sacks in a game in school history with (5 sacks) and is number two in school history of all time career sacks.
D-III All Conference(13-18), All Region(18), All American(14,18) Honors.
