ALL AMERICAN: JAMES ZIGLER JR. IS ALL ABOARD FOR 2026

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the addition of All-American ATH-James Zigler Jr. (Gannon University) for the 2026 season. James begins his first season with the Express and looks to secure a spot in the rotation at defensive back or wide receiver.

James is a graduate of McDowell High School where he earned three varsity letters and left as the Trojans all time leading receiver. James racked up an amazing high school resume including All Time leading receiver at McDowell, 3rd all time in receptions, James was state ranked twice (2024,2025), a 4x Player of the Game selection, 2025 PSFCA East/West Large School All-Star.

2025 Save an Eye Game All-Star, 2x 1st Team All Region WR/DB (2024,2025), 2X 1st Team All-District WR (2024,2025), 2x POTY Nominee (24/25), 2024 Jim Kelly D10 All-District All-Star, 2024 PIAA All-State Selection, 2025 Blue Grey All-American Game. 

James was named a team captain for the All-American game and hauled in an interception to help lead his team to victory.

James played last season at Gannon University.

James is the son of Express Special Teams Coordinator James Zigler Sr.
