The Erie Express are pleased to announce the addition of 6x All-Pro OL-Daniel Moose Mattner (McKendree University) for the 2021 season. Daniel begins his first season with us and will compete for a starting spot in the offensive line rotation.

Daniel has played professionally for the Osos de Toluca (LFA Mexico) as well as the Canton Pitbulls, Lorain County Nightmares (PAFL) and Watertown Red and Black (EFL).

Daniel was a 3x all state selection in high school, won a state championship, 4x All Pro selection (EFL) and 2x All Pro selection (PAFL)

Mattner saw his first action of the season last week in Pittsburgh and played a major role in our 42-0 victory over the Saints.

"In a play on the late Dennis Green's quote, Daniel is who we thought he was. We knew he was good, you do not earn All-Pro accolades 6x and not be. It was evident from the first snap that Daniel knew what he was doing on the field. A technical player who once locks in on you, makes it very difficult for you to get away. He understands what is being asked of him, understands the rotation and understands what it takes to win at this level.
