4x All-Pro OLB-Jamarius Cooper signs with Express for 2022

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of 4x All-Pro OLB-Jamarius Cooper (Erie Communtiy College) for the 2022 season. Jamarius begins his first season with us but is no rookie to the game. A 4x All-Pro selection, he looks to earn a spot in the defensive rotation at LB or DE and on special teams. 

Cooper has vast experience having played professionally indoors for the Roc City Thunder and Buffalo Lightning. Outdoors he has played for the Nickel City Kings where he helped them reach two conference finals appearances and was a 2x all pro, 2x leader in tackles, 2x leader in pass break ups during his time there. The Western New York Dragons where he earned All-Pro honors and a playoff appearance. Lockport Rampage 3x conference finals 2x #1 ranked offense and defense in the league. Cooper was named All-Pro 1x while in Lockport. Monroe County Sting/Rochester Chargers were 2x Conference finals and one championship appearance. Cooper was named Defensive Rookie All-Star. 

Cooper graduated from Grover Cleveland High School where he played Football, basketball & also broke the school swimming record for Freestyle & breaststroke. He graduated with The Presidential Academics of Excellence award as well as being top 5 of his graduating class. 

Cooper was invited to camp at Wide Receiver for the CFL Toronto Argonauts.
