2X Player of the Year: Osha Jackson Sr. Back on Board!

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of 4x All-Pro and Team Captain, DB-O'Sha Jackson (Ohio Dominican University) for the 2026 season. Jackson begins his sixth season with the Express and is a returning starter in the defensive secondary.

O'Sha followed up an amazing 2024 season with one that was equally impressive in 2025. For the year, O'Sha was named Erie Express Most Valuable Player for the 2025 season. This was O'Sha's second year in a row winning this award. This award was voted on by Osha's teammates and coaches.

In addition to this team award, O'Sha was also named PAFL All-Pro for the 2025 season. This is O'Sha's fourth time earning All-Pro status. O'Sha was also nominated to play, and played in the PAFL All-Star game at Kent State University.

O'Sha was also named the Erie Express- Daryk Maki-Defensive Player of the Year. This award is voted on by O'Sha's teammates and coaches and is named in memory of All-Pro DL-Daryk Maki. O'Sha won the same award last season. In addition to this award, O'Sha was also named the Dwaon Woddard Erie Express Defensive Back of the Year, the award is named in memory of All-Pro DB-Dwaon Woodard.

Last season O'Sha led the PAFL with 9 interceptions (while also setting an Express record surpassing Ricky Barnes 8 int's set in 2015).

For the year O'Sha finished with 35 tackles, 2 tackles for loss (-9yds), 1 sack, 6 pass breakups and a returned one interception for a touchdown.
O'Sha also showed himself to be a big time playmaker on offense as well hauling in 6 receptions for 110 yards, 3 TD's and a 2pt conversion including the game winner versus the Steel City Bobcats,

O'Sha served as one of our Captains for the 2025 season and did an amazing job in that aspect as well!
O'Sha missed most of the 2023 season as well as all of 2022 with an injury which sidelined him after the 2022 USA Bowl National Championship Bowl Game. In 2024 he was back 100% and what a season it was for him.

For the season Jackson finished with 36 tackles (led defensive backs), 1 tackle for loss (-5yds), 8 interceptions (led team), 7 pass breakups (led team) and a touchdown. O'Sha was tied for 1st in the TPFL during the regular season with 4 interceptions and led the TPFL in the post season alone with another 4.
For his efforts, O'Sha was named TPFL All-Pro for the 2024 season. Osha was a TPFL Auto Pick for leading the league in a statistical category (Tied for 1st in interceptions during regular season 4). This was O'Sha's third time earning All-Pro accolades.

Jackson received Erie Express Team Awards as: Most Valuable Player of the Year. The award is voted on by O'Sha's teammates and coaches and goes to the player that had the biggest impact in our overall team success on and off the field. "Daryk Maki"-Defensive Player of the Year, Defensive Back of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year.

O'Sha did an amazing job for us and played a major role in our TPFL Championship game appearance. We finished the season 11-2 and received an invite to the I-75 Pro Advancement Bowl.
We also accepted the invite in January to compete for a National Championship against the defending National Champion; Indy Bison in the USA Bowl in Daytona, FL. (0-41 loss) O'Sha played a major role in those team accolades!

In his first season with the Express, O'Sha led us to the 2021 GDFL National Championship as well as this past season's 2022 USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship. In 8 games, Jackson racked up 40 tackles, 4 tackles for loss (-16yds), 2 sacks, a team high 5 interceptions with 7 pass breakups. O'Sha finished tied for 2nd in the GDFL with 5 interceptions. For his efforts he was named GDFL All-Pro. In addition O'Sha was named defensive rookie of the year by his teammates and coaches.

O'Sha is a graduate of Warren Harding High School (OH). There he was a two-year starter. First Team All-Lake Erie League selection, along with picking up all-district and all-county honors. Jackson helped lead the Raiders to an LEL title as senior in Football. Also started two years in basketball, earning all-district honors.
Jackson began his college career at Edinboro University before finishing at Ohio Dominican University.

2013: Appeared in 11 games as a special teams player for Edinboro University.

2014: Played in nine games. Tallied 48 tackles, two interceptions and three pass break ups. Also forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and blocked a kick. Made 10 tackles against Indiana (Pa.). Finished with nine stops against Carson-Newman. Intercepted passes against Seton Hill and Millersville. Also returned 18 kicks for 371 yards. Had a long return of 62 yards against Carson-Newman for Edinboro University.
2015: Appeared in 10 games, making six starts. Intercepted three passes and made eight tackles (six solo) at Quincy (10/24)…Recorded season-high 12 tackles and recovered a fumble at Ferris State (10/17). Finished with 10 tackles at Saginaw Valley (11/7). Forced a fumble and broke up a pass against Tiffin (11/14).
2016: Appeared in 11 games, making two starts…Tallied 15 tackles on the season…Made four tackles and had a 40 yard interception return at Lake Erie in his only start (10/8).

Jackson is going on his 9th of year of coaching experience at the high school level.
